Laugaland - Cucumbers

We get our cucumbers from Laugaland - cucumbers that are bend, too small, too big or have in some other way visual defects and can therefore not be sold in supermarkets.

At Laugaland, a farm located in the west of Iceland the same family has doing growing vegetables since 1942. Þórhallur og Erla manage the farm today. They grow cucumbers all year around, about 250 tons. They use organic insect defences instead of chemicals to preserve the freshness of the cucumber.
